How to get value after string?

I know you can do..

Global $File_Get_Version = FileGetVersion("Explorer.exe")
$file_get_version_split = StringSplit($File_Get_Version, ".")
msgbox(0, "",  $file_get_version_split[4])

But any alternatives with string functions without knowing where the last "." would be?

Lets say i would only like get after the last "."

$file_get_version_split[0] holds the number of elements in the array.
So

msgbox(0, "",  $file_get_version_split[$file_get_version_split[0]])

will give you the last.

Or you could use StringInStr with minus one (-1) to get the position of the period, parsing text in reverse, and then use StringMid.

I always chose the solution I understand now and hope to still understand in 6 months.

RegExps are quite hard for me to understand (I barely (need to) use them) but I had one situation where a one line RegExp solved a quite complex problem (this was only possible with the help of some guys from the forum).
