michaelslamet
Hi, Is there any SplashTextOn replacement that work like it (doesn't pause the script, have no button on it) that user's moveable (user can click and drag the window/box to new position) ? BrewManNH
If you look in my signature there's a link to a function that I posted that has a label control and a progress bar that can be popped up like a splash screen. You can do something simple like that, or just remove any parts of it you don't need (no progress bar if you don't want one for example). You'd have to modify it to fit your needs, or just look at it to get ideas. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Solution PhoenixXL Posted June 12, 2013 Solution Share Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) Its simple, check this out #include-once #include <Array.au3> Global $Splash_Hwnd = 0 ;this coding would allow only one SplashText through this one function as native. ;here $iMilliSecs stands for the amount of milliseconds to wait before closing the splashtext, this shouldn't be less than 10. Func SplashTextOn_Async($s_Title, $s_Text, $iMilliSecs, $iWidth = -1, $iHeight = -1, $iXpos = -1, $iYpos = -1, $iOpt = -1, $s_Fontname = "", $iFont_Size = -1, $iFont_Weight = -1) $Splash_Hwnd = SplashTextOn($s_Title, $s_Text, $iWidth, $iHeight, $iXpos, $iYpos, $iOpt, $s_Fontname, $iFont_Size, $iFont_Weight) AdlibRegister("SplashTextOff_Async", $iMilliSecs) EndFunc ;==>SplashTextOn_Async Func SplashTextOff_Async() SplashOff() AdlibUnRegister("SplashTextOff_Async") EndFunc ;==>SplashTextOff_Async SplashTextOn_Async("Title", "Text", 3000, Default, Default, Default, Default, 16) ;movable Async SplashText for 3secs. ;run the script till the SplashText is switched off. Do Sleep(10) Until WinExists($Splash_Hwnd) = 0 Information SplashText/ImageOn never pauses the script, that is the user that uses the Sleep command to pause the script so that the script is alive while the Text/Image is shown. To make the SplashText movable use 16 in the opt parameter. If you just needed a auto-close timer for the splashtext, thats the above script. TheSaint
If you are just looking at being able to move the Splash, then look at the parameters for the SplashTextOn command. So long as you have the Caption bar to drag by, you can do it with the right combination of parameter values. Edited June 12, 2013 by TheSaint Make sure brain is in gear before opening mouth! michaelslamet
Guys, you're all so helpful! Oh my gosh, I never realized that SplashTextOn has a parameter (16) to make it moveable. So I decide to use SplashTextOn with "16" as parameter. Thanks, again! O yes, PhoenixXL, thanks for your example, it works great like always!
