Moderators Melba23 Posted June 11, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 11, 2013 alexander95,Excellent - I look forward to seeing it. But why do you need to execute it after download? Surely you just need to replace the existing file? And please learn to use quotes - or better still, use the "Reply to this topic" button at the top of the thread or the "Reply to this topic" editor at the bottom rather than the "Quote" button. I know what I wrote and it just pads the thread unneccessarily. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted June 11, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 11, 2013 My only need for something like this is getting a file that is very small, so it may not work in all instances. This is what I do: inetget, renaming file xyz.txt to xyz<date>.txt. get the file size once it had downloaded and compare to xyz.txt. If it is the same, discard xyz<date>.txt, otherwise, move xyz<date>.txt to xyz.txt, overwriting previous version. Alexxander 1 "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. Zedna
I do it this way (updating of my application from web): - in my script #AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_After=myhelper.exe ;--> after compilation automatically create small TXT file containing version/date/size of compiled file - I upload my main EXE and also this small TXT file - when needed then I download this small TXT file and I get information from it (compare) Edited June 12, 2013 by Zedna Resources UDF ResourcesEx UDF AutoIt Forum Search
