Status of the script

No clue what you're asking about, please explain it better so that we can give a reasonable answer.

If I understand your post correctly you want to see which statement is currently executed.

Have a look at the help file for

AutoItSetOption("TrayIconDebug", 1)

I was thinking perhaps something along these lines:

HotKeySet("{F4}", "_Exit")
AdlibRegister("_alert", 12000)

While 1
    Sleep(10)
WEnd

Func _alert()
    MsgBox(0, "Status of Script", "Still running an infinite loop." & @CRLF & "Press F4 to quit.")
EndFunc

Func _Exit()
    MsgBox(0, "Status of Script", "Abrupt Termination.")
    Exit
EndFunc

The script gives you a message every 12 seconds.

I think the OP needs to give more details about what he means by "status of the script".

That's what I said in post #2.

Hi,

What kind of tab are you talking about? Basic tab controls? (GUICtrlCreateTab)

What do you mean by "browsing", using an embedded internet browser?

Br, FireFox.

Hi,

I want to execute autoit script and browsing at the same time in different tabs it is possible.

Thanks,

madhuri,

You have already told us that - but we do not understand what you mean by "tabs". What tabs? Which application produces these tabs? :huh:

Please help us to help you and give us some more information. :)

Hi,

what I am facing while executing this script is, my requirement is to simultaneously run the script and do other things like googling but what I am observing is that script going to fail, execution will not continue while doing other sort of browsing not related to that application.

Thanks,

So you have some code already. If you are doing things like automated mouse clicks, and are using commands like Send then, you will find it difficult to browse at the same time. There are often better ways to do things which will allow you to do both.

Hi,

what are those ?

Can you please share.

Thanks,

hm... and can you post your script?

Hi,

This is my script.

#include <array.au3>

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2)

     WinActivate($CmdLine[1])

MsgBox(0,"Found It", "The tab with the key phrase " & $CmdLine[0] & " is now active.")

  MsgBox(0,"Found It", "The tab with the key phrase " & $CmdLine[1] & " is now active.")

     MsgBox(0,"Found It", "The tab with the key phrase " & $CmdLine[2] & " is now active.")

Local $sSaveDialogTitle = "Save" ;change the title to your own language

Send("!t")

Sleep(5000)

Send("{DOWN 10}")

;Sleep(500)

;Send("{up}")

Sleep(5000)

Send("{ENTER}")

;ControlSend("[CLASS:MozillaWindowClass]", "", "", "^s")

WinWait("[TITLE:" & $sSaveDialogTitle & ";CLASS:#32770]")

;

;

;

Local $windowHandle

$windowHandle = WinGetHandle("[$sSaveDialogTitle]")

        WinActivate($windowHandle)

        ControlSetText($windowHandle, "", "[CLASS:Edit; INSTANCE:1]", $CmdLine[1])

         Sleep(5000)

        Send("{ENTER}")

         Sleep(5000)

          ControlSetText($windowHandle, "", "[CLASS:Edit; INSTANCE:1]", $CmdLine[3])

     Sleep(5000)

        ControlClick($windowHandle, "", "[CLASS:Button; TEXT:&Open]")

 Sleep(5000)

;

;

;

ControlClick("[TITLE:" & $sSaveDialogTitle & ";CLASS:#32770]", "", "[CLASS:Button; INSTANCE:2]", "left", 1)

Local $sSaveAs="Save As"

If WinExists("[TITLE:" & $sSaveAs & ";CLASS:#32770]") Then

   Sleep(5000)

   Send("{TAB}")

   Sleep(5000)

   Send("{Enter}")

   EndIf

czardas is right, you should only use the Control* functions. e.g: instead of Send, use ControlSend.

If you don't have a control id, then use a blank string.

Edit: Please use autoit code tags to post your code.

Br, FireFox.
