hi there!

beeing a bit green on autoit, not knowing all the ways arround, i've been trying to bluid a script that provides 2 timers (count-down) BUT having a bit of a problem... i want them to be able to count at the same time...

got here so far:

#include <GUIConstants.au3>
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=
GUICreate("Temporizadores", 150, 150, 438, 156)
$LabelTotal = GUICtrlCreateLabel("00:00", 8, 5, 40, 20)
$Button = GUICtrlCreateButton("Começar", 100, 0, 50, 20) ;  "text", left, top, width, height
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Iniciar", 40, 26, 40, 20)
$Label1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("0:06", 10, 30, 30, 17)
$tempo1 = 6 ; segundos
$Button2 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Iniciar", 40, 46, 40, 20)
$Label2 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("0:06", 10, 50, 30, 17)
$tempo2 = 5 ; segundos

GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

$time=TimerInit()
While 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
    $Total = TimerDiff ($time)
    GUICtrlSetData ($LabelTotal, $Total)
    Select
        Case $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

        Case $msg = $Button1
            contar1()
            $time=TimerInit()
        Case $msg = $Button2
            contar2()
            $time=TimerInit()

    EndSelect
WEnd

func contar1()

        While 1
            $new = TimerDiff ($time)
            If ($tempo1*1000)-$new <= 0 Then
                GUICtrlSetData ($Label1, "0:06")
                ExitLoop
            EndIf
            $new = ($tempo1*1000)-$new
            $seconds = Round ($new/1000)
            $newMin = Floor ($seconds/60)
            $newSec = Mod ($seconds, 60)
            If $newSec < 10 Then $newSec = "0"&$newSec
            GUICtrlSetData ($Label1, $newMin&":"&$newSec)
            Sleep(400)
        Wend
EndFunc
func contar2()

        While 1
            $new = TimerDiff ($time)
            If ($tempo1*1000)-$new <= 0 Then
                GUICtrlSetData ($Label2, "0:06")
                ExitLoop
            EndIf
            $new = ($tempo1*1000)-$new
            $seconds = Round ($new/1000)
            $newMin = Floor ($seconds/60)
            $newSec = Mod ($seconds, 60)
            If $newSec < 10 Then $newSec = "0"&$newSec
            GUICtrlSetData ($Label2, $newMin&":"&$newSec)
            Sleep(400)
        Wend

EndFunc

any ideas/toughts that may point me in the right direction?

thank you!

There are a few timers already created in examples on the forum - search for timers will get you started, unless you are just trying to learn, but in that case you would have a start time, and check the difference between the start time and the finish time, each time you loop, you would check, if value has been reached for as many timers you have. Put them in an array to check each one.

Hope this helps

First of all thank you for you reply.

Indeed i am trying to learn out of curiosity, and i do understand what you are saying. The thing is i am not beeing able to make more than one timer to count at the same time. When i iniciate A (timer 1) and try to iniciate B(timer 2) before A ends B wont start while A still active only when A ends.

Thank you for posting!

In fact some of the exemples i aquired do use "AdLibRegister" but that function seams to been removed from the newer autoit's versions.

Tried to look for a "replacement" with no sucess.

JotaPx,

Take a look at this thread where I show how to create multiple independent timers. In this case they were on separate tabs, but the principle is the same. :)

Really? What version of AutoIt are you using because the latest is v3.3.8.1 and AdlibRegister is very much present.
