rmembrives
Hi, I have tried to find a item of a ListBox with _GUICtrlListBox_FindString, _GUICtrlListBox_FindInText, _GUICtrlListBox_GetSelItemsText, _GUICtrlListBox_GetText, ControlGetText, ControlListView, ControlCommand but nothing work. However other functions like _GUICtrlListBox_SetCurSel and _GUICtrlListBox_GetCount responds OK. I think that the problem cause is the multiple columns of the ListBox, any idea? Thank you for any help you can provide!

BrewManNH
First off, welcome to the forums. Second, Listboxes normally don't have multiple columns, so you might be dealing with a listview and not a listbox. Are you sure it's a listbox you're accessing? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. rmembrives
It´s an internal app from another company, this is the control info: >>>> Window <<<< Title: 23610: Comentarios de La Reclamación Class: #32770 Position: 355, 159 Size: 610, 210 Style: 0x94C00085 ExStyle: 0x00010101 Handle: 0x000A1EC8 >>>> Control <<<< Class: ListBox Instance: 1 ClassnameNN: ListBox1 Name: Advanced (Class): [CLASS:ListBox; INSTANCE:1] ID: 1 Text: Position: 8, 28 Size: 504, 77 ControlClick Coords: 357, 36 Style: 0x50A01559 ExStyle: 0x00000000 Handle: 0x00290740 >>>> Mouse <<<< Position: 723, 268 Cursor ID: 0 Color: 0xFFFFFF >>>> StatusBar <<<< >>>> ToolsBar <<<< >>>> Visible Text <<<< &Modificar &Borrar &Aceptar &Cancelar Añadir(&+) >>>> Hidden Text <<<< Enviar Comen Dist I have make a workaround sending keystrokes and using the clipboard, but its a little slow. In others ListBox controls in the app with only one column, the FindText funcion works OK I attach the screenshot. Thanks in advance.
Moderators Melba23 Posted May 28, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2013 rmembrives,It certainly looks like a ListView - but some Googling threw up references to ListBoxes with columns and a header. So I am prepared to believe that it is what the Window Info tool says - particularly as you say that some of the _GUICtrlListBox functions work. However, I would also say that the addition of columns to the basic ListBox control (it seemed pretty complex to do this from what I saw when searching) is what is preventing the other functions from working. So I cannot offer any suggestions - sorry about that. I am just delighted that you have managed to find a workaround. carmengfv
Hello! How I get to work with the content of the rows of a list box it's using the clipboard. I select the row, then send("^c") and then read from ClipGet(). An example: Local $control_hd = ControlGetHandle($fw_old,"","[CLASS:ListBox; INSTANCE:1]") Local $num = _GUICtrlListBox_GetCount($control_hd) ; Here I select all the rows _GUICtrlListBox_SelItemRangeEx($control_hd, 1, $num) ;Then with a loop i clean the clipboard and copy the selected rows (Send("^c")) ClipPut("") While (True) If (ClipGet() <> "") Then ExitLoop EndIf Send("^c") WEnd ;Then i get the text in the clipboard and save in a variable ($buffer) $buffer = ClipGet() Hope that helps anybody. rmembrives
Hi carmengfv, I´m sorry for the late response... that´s the way I get it works. Perhaps you could save the clipboard state before clean it, and restore it after the process is finished to avoid the lost of clipboard data of the user. Saludos!
