olo
Hey All Yes I have searched the forums before anyone starts nagging I want to change my screen resolution but I was wondering is there a way to do it without using Dllcalls like some other peoples scripts have. As I want to change the screen res but lets say for multiple machines. So a script that runs on any windows machine. But without touching the user's registry by using dllcalls...etc. Anyone suggest anything? As the code I have is using the DLLcalls. Olo
Bert
In a word - no. May I ask you a simple Yes or no question or two: Would the users of these multiple machines - would they like what you have in mind? YES or NO or better way - would they APPROVE of what you have in mind and not be annoyed, bothered, or calling up someone asking for it to be set back the way it was before what you want to do happens to said machine? YES or NO Edited April 30, 2013 by YogiBear olo 1 The Vollatran project My blog: http://www.vollysinterestingshit.com/

Bert
Either way, why would you want to do it to other desktops that are not your and not use methods that are for lack of a better way to say it - "hidden"? He obviously does not want his actions detected. Otherwise why be concerned with using a DLL to do the job? Any admin would care less as long as it worked. YES or NOor better way - would they APPROVE of what you have in mind and not be annoyed, bothered, or calling up someone asking for it to be set back the way it was before what you want to do happens to said machine?YES or NOWould they like what I have in mind probably not as everyone has there own preference of resolution. eg 1080p, 720p etcWould they approve probably not...but who cares. My idea is that I want to run a software on my computer and say my college computer. Now because autoit is so specific with mousemove and mouseclickdrag it will be a different position depending on your resolution. So I want to say to use my software your computer needs to run in 720p for example. Run the files through a regression test over night or for a few ours. Once the results are stored in a log and the script finishes executing. Then we will revert back to your original resolution that you had previously before running my script....That answer your questions????

[...] That answer your questions????Indeed it does. Given that description and the obvious conclusion that you would do this independently of the will of the main user of the machine, I would class this under the "Malware of any form - [...] "joke/spoof" prohibition.
