BrewManNH
The UK didn't find any problems with MM-DD-YYYY until the last century, and they've been around a lot longer than the US has. JohnOne
I see one.MM/DD/YYYY02/04/2013DD/MM/YYYY04/02/2013If you don't know the date format, how can you know if it's the April 4th or the Feb 2nd ? Even worth if the year is written with two digits. With a sensible format you'd know because, the day would be opposite the year. BrewManNH
We write the dates the way we speak them, March 12th 2013. Whether the format came before the way we say them or it developed the other way around who knows. And frankly who cares? Why do some countries use periods between date parts and some use hyphens, some use forward slash and some use spaces, and some places will use any combination of the separators? Don't know, don't care, just have to deal with it in the real world of the 300+ countries out there. FireFox
I totally agree with you. I think you are right about the dates which are formatted the way we speak them as it is in French.
