ozmike
Auto is a great language ... Just a suggestion auto it - its free - but the way to make money out of this ..is not charge for it but ... but instead..modify this forum, add an autoit app store , let people publish apps here and take a cut 30%...? I only say this because i know so many people have written great windows utils in auto IT to auto mate tasks in windows ,Auto its not just for automated testing- it can be used for other things eg games , windows utils etc..apps , imagine the missed opportunity over the years..but there was no way to make monotize this...apple worked it out and MS & windows is just working it out (too late) ..is it too late for auto it ..? crazy idea but ...but it would really bring in developers..its all about the ecosystem these days (so they say?) . czardas
@ozmike - As far as ideas go, I think it's a good idea. However such programs would really need to be reviewed, and someone would have to maintain the online shop. I don't see it happening somehow, but the opportunity does exist. armoros
AutoIt is one of the best things to ever happen to me since i started my " computing journey ", i don't thing that AutoIt is abandoned, and from my very small experience i don't believe it needs any updates (at least major updates), i am sure AutoIt it will be around for a long, long time. But if, in the far, far distant future, Jon and the dev team decide to not make further development, i hope that the AutoIt core code to become open-source.
