How long is TimerInit() valid?

I have a looping script that I hope to one day run for months at a time. I've just started working with TimerInit() and TimerDiff() and I'm started to get some negative values so I'm guessing that means that my TimerInit() variable is expired?

In 24 days, you're going to hit 2,147,483,647 ms, which is 0x7FFFFFF in hex, which I think is the highest value you can reach using a 32bit binary before it rolls over into negative numbers. I could be wrong (probably am), but I think that's how it works. The timer functions will definitely not work for you if you're planning on timing something for months at a time.

Why do you think you need to use the timer functions to time something? How accurate does the timing have to be?

I have sort of a scheduler function that loops, and it runs several functions, some daily, some on a timer. The accuracy of the timer needs / should be about a minute.

Yeah, I think I'm going to use the time macros. I don't need such an accurate timer.

You could reset the timer after each loop and store the summed up time translated to minutes in another variable.
