Should be something like this

#include <Process.au3>
Local $var = FileSelectFolder("Choose a folder.", "")

If @error Then
MsgBox(4096, "", "No Folder(s) chosen")
Exit
Else

_RunDos("echo " & $var)

EndIf
Plus have you seen that it is a hidden window according to the help file :)

My code:

Local $var = FileSelectFolder("Choose a folder.", "")

If @error Then
    MsgBox(4096, "", "No Folder(s) chosen")
    ;ContinueLoop
Else
    _RunDos("Echo " & $Var & " & pause")
EndIf

Func _RunDos($sCommand)
    Local $nResult = RunWait(@ComSpec & ' /c ' & $sCommand)
     Return SetError(@error, @extended, $nResult)
EndFunc ;==>_RunDos

Correct, but what on earth has that to do with the thread? :huh:

As has been explained to you above , _RunDOS runs a hidden command prompt so you will never see your "ECHO". Trong has shown you how you can see it by using ComSpec with the "/k" switch. So your problem is solved. :)
