(: (Probably with the serial key/label of the drives, or by "ejecting" all drives, and mapping only the DVD drives on the system, as when no iso is mounted, virtual drives show as cd drives.) nullschritt
Nevermind, clearly you have an attitude and not open to suggestions. Good day to you.Maybe if your arrogance didn't result in ignorance, which resulted in defeating the whole purpose of the function, I would be open to "suggestions", were that what it were, not half assed attempts to show me up/show off. I've seen your other posts too, always throwing in your "two cents" about how YOU think it ought to work. Guess what, it's not about YOU, especially when YOU often miss the point, as you clearly did with the hwid singleton post.It doesn't work the way you think it should? Too bad, modify it for your own use, it's not your job to destroy the original purpose of an idea, because you think your idea is superior. Re-release it as your own snippet You code does not make a HWID, not even close, it makes a software and hardware ID, which is useless for independently creating an ID based on only the hardware of the computer, you might as well take a bunch of random ass info and hash it together, if you want to go that route.k. thanks. Have a nice day. Edited December 16, 2012 by nullschritt TouchOdeath and Rickname

But the hardware is far less likely to change than the O.S., or O.S. version/build. And basically you know someone can really only have the time resources, and reason enough to modify their hardware so many times in say a month? I apologize I've been a bit hostile lately. I simply meant what is the truth, that you did miss the point of the original function, because you assumed based on your previous experiences, which were ignorant to the actual meaning of HWID, that you knew I was trying to replicate said function.but even if it changed,,, thats not solution for it,,, must be another way What exactly do you mean?
