array[] dumb error

Hey everyone. whats the story on this error:

Dim $line = ""
Dim $tags[6]
Dim $i=1
While 1
$line = FileReadLine($file)
If @error = -1 Then ExitLoop
$tags[$i] = "test" + $i ;StringSplit($line, ',', 1)
$i+=1
WEnd

Error:

$tags[$i] = ""
^ ERROR

Look at ReDim as you obviously have more than 6 lines in your file and I suggest looking at Arrays in the AutoIt wiki.

Hint: Don't use Dim, try to use Local or Global. In this case it would be Local to the scope.

Where does the code with the error come from the line

$tags[$i] = ""

is not in the script you posted.

If your any lines in your file contain more than 5 tags? you will get an array out of bounds error. Have a look in the help file for ReDim to see how to increase the size of the array as required.

thats it: it goes more than 5 tags. my bad

i did look evrywhere in the help section but i did not realize it was going over the array boundrary
