Is there an easier way to find remote ip (66.61.282.176) in $text?

I'm actually getting out of practice with SRE's because many of you have now become proficient in their use so I don't have to do as many.

You can use either. I usually just use "." on a simple string but I've also used "V" or even "S" but that one os prone to failure on some strings.

OK. Honestly I'm still learning and finding it challenge to know what is more efficient and which isn't. I suppose this will come with practice.

It does. I watch what people post for SREs but unless it's clearly wrong I don't say anything. Your's have mainly been fine. Sometimes you tend to make them more complex that you have too but there are other good RegEx experts around who believe in complex SREs anyway. I just try to keep them as simple as possible.
