If the variable is global in scope, you can't undeclare it. If it's a local variable, and in a function, it will automatically be destroyed after returning from the function, unless it's also a Static variable, and then all bets are off.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

You can assign a value to the variable that you interpret as "no value assigned". Like "", 0, -1 or NULL.

Assignation to Null doesn't fail.

Once a variable is declared in a given scope, you can't "forget" its declaration inside the same run of the same scope. Of course Static forces otherwise.

Scopes are Global or Local; non-static variables inside a local scope are destroyed (and "forgotten") when leaving the local scope (function).

is a test-time error only and should never occur during the real life of any program. If it ever does it's a blatant programming blemish.
