Hi guys,

Pls check code as below :

Local $array
While 1
$array = StringRegExp('<test>a</test> <test>b</test> <test>c</Test>', '<(?i)test>(.*?)</(?i)test>', 4);-----NOTE HERE!!
ConsoleWrite ( UBound($array) & "~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~" )
If @error = 0 Then
$nOffset = @extended
Else
ExitLoop
EndIf
For $i = 0 To UBound($array) - 1
MsgBox(0, "RegExp Test with Option 1 - " & $i, $array[$i])
Next
Exit
WEnd

You see, the code is from help file about stringRegExp ().

I only changed flag to "4", and run it. I can get the array's size is 3, but $array[$i] is null...if the array's size is not 0, I think it's meaning "I can find something that is meeting the pattern." But why the element is null? Then I changed flag to 2, it can be working. So I guess it's a bug?

P.S. I tried to search in forum, but no result can be referenced.

I think you are misunderstanding the purpose of the flags. If you get the result you want with flag 2, why would you try a different flag? The flags will determine the output of the function.

The return when using flag 4 in StringRegExp is an ARRAY of ARRAYS, you have to manipulate the data returned so you can display it.

Local $array
;~ While 1
$array = StringRegExp('<test>a</test> <test>b</test> <test>c</Test>', '<(?i)test>(.*?)</(?i)test>', 4);-----NOTE HERE!!
ConsoleWrite(UBound($array) & "~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~")
If @error = 0 Then
     $nOffset = @extended
Else
     Exit
EndIf
For $i = 0 To UBound($array) - 1
     Local $match = $array[$i]
     For $j = 0 To UBound($match) - 1
          MsgBox(0, "RegExp Test with Option - " & $i, $match[$j])
     Next
Next
Exit
;~ WEnd

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
