Possible ObjCreate problem with new AutoIt version

You likely have an issue with the latest au3check produpction version. Use the current Beta and copy that into the prod directory.

Yes, you need the latest beta version of Au3Check to get past this bug in the current version

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Hi, @water !

In order to test if the issue is solved in the latest version, I did a full reinstall of AutoIt and Scite4AutoIt today. So the version is really the latest.

I have had this problem when trying to use a property called "To" in this class ( http://tinyurl.com/p825kw5 ) I posted today. As you can see, the property name had to be changed to "ToFormat" because AU3Check didn't allow it to be "To". The error "missing separator before 'To' keyword" came. Au3Check thinks I'm trying to do "For...To", as it seems to be.

When I disabled AU3Check it ran without any problem. But telling users to disable Au3Check is not a good deal...

You aren't paying attention, the current release version of AutoIt3 has a version of Au3Check that exhibits this bug. You need to download the beta version of Au3Check.exe and replace the one that's in your AutoIt3 folder, it's as simple as that.

Also, why would anyone need to install AutoIt just to run your scripts, aren't you compiling them first?

I understood that. I just don't understand how this so old bug's still in the production version.

Also, why would anyone need to install AutoIt just to run your scripts, aren't you compiling them first?

Let's say that compiling is not a good idea for the project on the link I posted on my last reply ( http://tinyurl.com/p825kw5 ), as it's meant for developers :lol:

Just tell anyone that downloads it what the issue is, if they can't figure it out then that isn't on you it's their problem.

BTW, what difference does it make how long it's been a bug, it's been fixed in the latest beta version so I don't really see what the problem is? Microsoft, Apple, etc. are still fixing bugs that have been in their software for a decade.
