Keeping button images after Compile

I have a little ICO of a magnifying glass for a zoom button on my GUI. It shows up when I run the script. However, after compile and moving it to a different machine, the ICO doesn't show up on the button.

I'm pretty sure it's because it's looking at the specified directory for it, and it doesn't bundle it into the .exe on compile.

Am I supposed to just do a FileInstall() on the ICO and 'extract' it to the specified directory on the new machine, or is there another method?

You can use FileInstall or look at AutoItWrapper and the directive #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Icon_Add which embeds the ico file in the exe. You'll find more information by looking on the SciTE4AutoIt3 page.

I got it working with the AutoITWrapper directive, but the output image is a bit fuzzy. Didn't see any options on compile to change this. For shits and giggles, I tried adjusting the FileInstall compression to Lowest, but it didn't do anything.

I forced the icontype to 2 as well and it still has image degredation.

FileInstall compression? I didn't think there was such a thing. Could you create a small re-producer and the icon. Cheers.

Hmmm... I can't find the button to attach a file in here...

I can't find the url where I got the image from either =(. It was from one of those open source image databases.

I converted it with www dot converticon dot com to an 64x64 ico.

Here's the code for the button with the icon.

As far as the FileInstall compression, when you go to compile, you'll see the option there to change the compression level for FileInstall from Lowest to Highest. There should be 5 options.

OK, I just use 'Build' (F7) so never really toggled the FileInstall compression, but good to know. Thanks.
