water
If CPU consumption doesn't go down when the Sleep time is multiplied by 10 (290 to 3000) then the problem must be caused by something else. Sleep itself does use very few CPU cycles. water
Don't know. What else is running on this machines? Virus scanners, HIPS ...? The script you posted at the beginning is all you run on those machines or is it just a part of a bigger script? Mat
Add the TrayIconDebug option (`Opt("TrayIconDebug", 1)`) and hover over the AutoIt tray icon when you see these CPU rates and see what line number the script is on. That will verify whether the sleep is actually the line being executed (which I doubt). AutoIt Project Listing

Mat
Add the line Opt("TrayIconDebug", 1), and run the program. Hover the mouse over the AutoIt tray icon, you should get a tooltip that looks a bit like this:What does that tooltip say? BrewManNH
Please post your code so that we can see what your script is actually doing to consume so much in CPU resources. Without the script, we have no way of figuring it out. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
