KeyHH doesn't have to be installed to be used, you just have to know where you put it to use it.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

But what does the license say about redistributing? 7-Zip is OK as the license agreement allows you to do this. But I think your problem has been solved using native tools within Windows.

I found the OLD website for Keyworks.net that lists the download info for keyhh.exe. I found it on the web wayback machine site. It lists it as freeware there.

KeyHH is free. You may download it and install it on as many machines as you want for no charge. But first, let's get the legal stuff out of the way:

Whew. Okay, the download file is about 49K. You must have either Internet Explorer 4, Windows 98 or Windows 2000 installed or the setup program won't run -- but you can download it with whatever browser you want. When you click the download link, you can either save it to disk and run it later, or just open it and have it run immediately.

OK, seems it can be redistributed but it would be best to provide the license agreement and state that you're not liable for any damage caused. It's just one of those things people overlook when using 3rd party software of whether of not they have the right to redistribute it in its raw form.

Minor error in that code:

Run('"' & @WindowsDir & 'hh.exe" "' & $sFilePath & '::' & $sSection & '"')

.........................................^ [here]

results in attempting to launch 'c:windowshh.exe'

I inserted a '' before the hh.exe, like so=: @WindowsDir & 'hh.exe" 

problem solved :)

 

Is it possible to consider including an 'OpenCHM' UDF (or standard feature) with a sample .CHM file as demo for ease of deployment?

Despite 100s of sites telling "how easy" it is to make & run CHM it has taken me an unnecessarily long time to figure out something which should be so easy.
