carlosrapa
Func JavaInstall() ; Run a command prompt as the other user. Local $pid = RunAsWait($sUserName, @ComputerName, $AdminPassword, 0, "c:\temp\java.exe") WinWait("Java Setup - Ask Toolbar","Toolbar") ControlCommand("Java Setup - Ask Toolbar","Toolbar","Button3","UnCheck","") ControlClick("Java Setup - Ask Toolbar","Toolbar","Next >") ; Wait for the process to close. ProcessWaitClose($pid) EndFunc ;==>JavaInstall I have a function that does a RunAsWait and launches the Java 6 30 installer. This launches as the admin and works great, unfortunately there is a Ask Toolbar check box that needs to Unchecked. (I would like to completely automate this but I will settle for the simple uncheck for the moment. I attempted to recycle some code from someone else but it does not seem to work. Is there a permission issue, or something that does not allow WinWait to interact with an app launched with RunAs? Thanks, Carlos
BrewManNH
RunAsWait will wait until the program you run has ended. You should probably be using RunAs instead. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. BrewManNH
If you want any other commands to work on the program that you're running, you'd be much better off using RunAs instead. You're using ProcessWaitClose after the Control* commands so it won't go past that point until that program has closed. You have no need to to use RunAsWait anyways because WinWait will pause the script until that window exists, ProcessWaitClose will also pause it until the process doesn't exist. carlosrapa 1 If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. carlosrapa
You rock man.... Makes total sense now... You can do two waits in a row because it is waiting for the second thing. Thanks.
