I'm not really following why you would want to store variable names in a file?

For ease, use these functions (I created for you) depending on your situation. /AutoIt3ExecuteScript will basically execute the code in a separate process, it's as though you've compiled the .txt file and are running the compiled executable of that .txt file.

But you're probably wanting to have a file similar to below (Example text file), in which you can change it and without having to re-compile will load that change into your compiled exe somehow...my advice...don't bother looking, it can't be done how you want it to. You're creating unnecessary work for yourself and honestly if it's just values that might change e.g. program name, version number etc. use an INI file. Using Eval should only be done when it's the last resort and even then you have to define the variables in your script which defeats the point of which I presume you're trying to do.

So I was on the right path with my second part to that post? Overtime you'll understand that AutoIt is pretty forgiving overall, I mean you get even get away without declaring variables and the script still runs. Something I didn't appreciate until I started learning C/C++.

Not that im any expert but can you not change the data of the variable in the txt file rather than the variable itself?

On one of mine i keep encrytpted data that i may need to update in the future without changing the whole script, so i can just replace the extra file which is easy to do with a basic updater

This is how i call it
