golfinhu Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) Hey people, anyone helpme please? wath's wrong in this? #include <Array.au3> Dim $sArray[1][5] = [[1,2,3,4,5]] _ArrayDisplay($sArray) ReDim $sArray[2][5] = [2,3,4,5,6] _ArrayDisplay($sArray) how to i redim one array, and add another array in this (to use it as columns) #include <Array.au3> Dim $sArray[1][5] = [[1,2,3,4,5]] _ArrayDisplay($sArray) ;ReDim $sArray[2][5] = [2,3,4,5,6] ;_ArrayDisplay($sArray) this works fine, but i can't redim and add another itens as columns =S i know i use a loop to add items such as columns, but much more work would ... i think it can be done that way! Thanks a lot! Edited February 1, 2012 by golfinhu
jchd Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 ReDim doesn't take an initializer. Now when you redim Dim $sArray[1][5] = [[1,2,3,4,5]] with ReDim $sArray[2][5] what you do is add a new row to the existing array, no new columns. golfinhu Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 then to i add the items "2,3,4,5,6" to columns "0,1,2,3,4" I'll have to use a loop?
jchd Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Correct. Cells in newly added rows are "uninitialized" just like any un-initialized flat variable. Note that you also can redim an array with different dimensions while keeping the number of cells identical; then no "new" cell gets changed. E.g. Dim $Arr[15][2] will retain cells values (once they are set) when you do ReDim $Arr[5][6] This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available).
