The idea is that the notifications leave ASAP to allow others to take their place, so not something I would consider adding. But my ExtMsgBox UDF included a countdown functionality - why not take a look and see if that will serve your purpose.

As I have said many times, the notifications are designed to show small messages, so I deliberately keep them small so that the maximum number can be displayed. You can omit the title and get 2 rows of text as shown in the example script, but I am not going to increase their size - use my ExtMsgBox or Toast UDFs if you need more space.

Understod, but is it possible to reduce the size of the boxes to be very tiny so i can squeeze more tabs?

I have just seen your edit on the previous page and it appears I misunderstood the "row" comment, sorry. Bit I am afraid that there is no chance of a second row - as I explained above the notifications are designed to be removed ASAP.

What exactly are you trying to do? Perhaps we can come up with another solution.

I've the the different notification for everything I do here at work..except i needed 25 different notification. As of now my screen can only fit 19. It's only 6 off so not the end of the world and I can live with out it...Just wondering if it was possible that's all. Thanks :)

Are you likely to get more than 19 notifications at one time? If this is a regular occurence then I could perhaps work on a wrapper which would store any notifications which did not have room to appear until there was enough space - worth a look?

I need it for few programs working in the background.
When user come to his computer must see and click each notification from each program.

This new feature should be combined with:

[NEW VERSION] - 13 Jul 15

Added:

  • A new function _Notify_Modify which allows you to change the colour, text and/or click setting of an existing notification.
  • A new $sGUID parameter for _Notify_Set to set the "title" of the notification GUI - this allows WinList to list all current notifications

Here is a Beta UDF which hides any notifications that will not currently fit on screen and then displays them as soon as space becomes available:

And here is an example script to show it working. If you set a timeout for the hidden notifications, note that the count only starts once the notification becomes visible - that seemed to logical way to go as otherwise you risked never seeing it:

[NEW VERSION] - 15 Aug 15

Added: If the display is full of existing Notifications, any new ones are kept hidden until space becomes available - in the past these were not created and an error returned. Note that any timeout applied to these initially hidden Notifications only commences once they become visible - otherwise they risked never being seen at all.

New Example 3 shows this working

For those that need just a simple example of a Notify

With help from Melba i needed to notify events but hold on an error

Hi Melba,

A little suggestion:

I'm using 2 screens, and the notifications will appear on my second screen, and not my primary screen.

It would be nice if the script were able to detect the primary screen, and show the notifications on the primary screen.
