The help file isn't structured like that nor do the parameters match that of TrayCreateItem, so I have no idea where you would expect me to add that to? Care to explain?

As mentioned in the ticket - #2026 I've updated the examples with comments and better structuring.

It's not so much an issue, but it would be cool if there was an automated way to sync the help file with a wiki. But I am not sure how to go about it.

Could you elaborate please.

Edit: If you meant the help file be exported to the wiki, then I'm afraid it isn't an easy request.

I suggest that Ubound() be added to the "RELATED" choices at the bottom of help insructions for arrays

The related section for the 'array functions' are only for UDF functions, not AutoIt native functions.

Can that be changed? I think there are a lot of cases where that could be useful. _GUICtrl*_Create -> GUICtrlCreate* for instance, or _StringExplode -> StringSplit. There are a lot of cases where a udf function is very similar to a built in one.

Because help "pages" for the basic library show in the same format as do "pages" for UDFs, I assumed that I should submit my suggestion in the same format. I will be happy to provide the info in a format you specify.

I think that the parameters are the same as those in the help, but with different names. I renamed them for (what I think is) clarity.

I do note that I am missing a closing quote after Opt("TrayMenuMode"

Perhaps ixItem would be preferable to ixEntry.

If you look at the latest beta help file you will see the examples are well documented as are the functions themselves.

The format you provided was for a UDF header, not the help file. Please see the structure of TrayCreateItem in the help file.

You'd pass the array using ByRef to save memory and time. Otherwise you're copying the array to another array just to get rid of it later.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Does this need to be written in the help file? Maybe it's fine as it is (just a little confusing).

ByRef is already documented. >> http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/keywords/Func.htm

Shouldn't those functions use ByRef Const $avArray instead of ByRef $avArray?

Does this need to be written in the help file? Maybe it's fine as it is (just a little confusing).

You'd have to look for it in the Function reference in the help file, but it's mentioned in there.

ByRef is typically preferred when a function expects large amounts of data, such as a large array, where copying all the data would impose a significant performance penalty.

Shouldn't those functions use ByRef Const $avArray instead of ByRef $avArray?

Considering the functions never attempt to change the arrays, is there a reason why you'd want to make them unchangeable? Seems like a bit of being over protective of the incoming data where it doesn't really need it.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Read around and you will see topics that suggest it's slightly quicker. Plus, it's good coding practice from our end on how to do things correctly.

Could bring up again the issue of adding _ArrayDisplay back into the Debug UDF a UDF I haven't seen used a whole lot.
