Hello All,

I have spent what feels like too much time trying to create a script to copy a file from the hard drive to a removable USB drive. I am struggling with defining variables and feel if I can get over something simple, the rest should fall into place.

So I figured find the drive letter and display the drive found in a simple message box. Here is my script:

If WinExists("AutoPlay") Then

winclose("AutoPlay")

EndIf

$var=DriveGetDrive( "Removable" )

$DriveLetter = string($var)

msgbox(4096,"Removable Drive",$DriveLetter)

But, all I get is a blank box. I know this is very basic, but any help would be greatly appreciated. This is for Windows 7 Pro, and the USB could be plugged into any of three USB ports.

I will continue banging my head against the desk until something useful comes out...<sigh>

chachew, you might want to remove the String conversion part.
