crushr Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Just attempting the sample code: Local $hDownload = InetGet("http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/files/beta/update.dat", @TempDir & "\update.dat", 1, 1) Do Sleep(250) Until InetGetInfo($hDownload, 2) ; Check if the download is complete. Local $nBytes = InetGetInfo($hDownload, 0) InetClose($hDownload) ; Close the handle to release resourcs. MsgBox(0, "", "Bytes read: " & $nBytes) Getting BytesRead = 0. INetGet() has worked beautifully for me for years, and it's still working on other machines off my network. Yesterday someone reconfigured our internet connection so I'm guessing that might have something to do with it. OS = Windows 7 Crushr
BrewManNH Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I get 447 bytes on Vista using that code. I'd guess it's probably your internet connection. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. crushr Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Here's some more info: Bytes read: 0Size: 0Complete?: TrueSuccessful?: False@error: 13@extended: 12007 Using the script found in this thread: One of the changes made to my machine yesterday was that the guy configured some dialup connection. I didn't think much of it, but the first page I visited on IE, the browser attempted to use it to connect. I removed that dialup config and used Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections (*) Never dial a connection. Any idea what kind of internet connection property might be blocking INetGet() from downloading?
