winsock api

im working on a tcp chat application in autoit, translating it from vb6.

the autoit tcp functions do not work for me, so im trying the winsock api (ws2_32.dll). apparently there is a function i need to call to initialize it, but i dont know how. see here for more information.

I cannot answer your question but I am interested to know why autoit tcp functions does not work for you?

in fact TCPStartup was doing exactly what your are looking for.
