Hello all. Before posting this I did some googlin and search this forum to no avail.

I'm looking for a very simple script I was hoping someone would be kind enough to help me with, or point me in the right direction. I'm looking for something that will infinitely send a button press while the button is held. For instance if I hold down the 1 button I'd like for it to repeat infinitely until I release the button. Hope somebody out there can help me with this.

NeedSomeHelp79,

Welcome the the AutoIt forum. :)

No need for AutoIt to make a key repeat if it is pressed continuously, that is the default behaviour under Windows - try it yourself in Notepad. :)

It's not possible to send NUMPAD1 by script if you already hold down it.

But with an hotkey you can try something like this :

HotKeySet ( "{PAUSE}", "_Invert" )

$_Var = False

While 1
    If $_Var = True Then Send ( "{NUMPAD1}" )
    ;Sleep ( 1000 )
WEnd

Func _Invert ( )
    If $_Var = True Then
        $_Var = False
    Else
        $_Var = True
    EndIf
EndFunc

no need to press the button all the time...Posted Image
