Hi, I'm writeing a script to automate the install of a program. It requires creating several ODBC's. I had the whole thing automated but then my boss told me he does not want the user id and password part automated dureing the ODBC creation, so now i have it scripted to stop on those screens and wait for user input. the thing is that I have to create many ODBC's with the same user id and password during this particular instalation. im wondering if there is a way to script a msgbox for the user to input the credentials once and then send send them as a variable when needed inside the script for the rest of the session.

Sure. Use InputBox to let the user enter the credentials, save the input in variables and use them wherever needed.
