WesW Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I am trying to copy file from our server to the startup foler on a windows 7 machine. I created a simple exe file to click and the file copies. I found that the file will not copy due to the ProgramData folder being hidden. Is there a way to copy a file to a hidden folder. FileCopy("\\Servernamel\common\apps\AutoPLANT\V8i\Master\V8i_Start\DTG AutoPLANT V8i.exe", "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" ,"/H")
Varian Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) Your syntax is a problem. You either need a trailing backslash on the target or you need to specify a file name for the target. And what is up with the "/H" flag? You can have either 1,2,8, or the sum of their combinations. Edited March 1, 2011 by Varian

water Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 As was suggested in the above post you need a trailing slash FileCopy("mgtsrvSourcePerformanceProPerformance Pro.lnk", "C:UsersPublicDesktop", 9) My UDFs and Tutorials: Spoiler UDFs: Active Directory (NEW 2024-07-28 - Version 1.6.3.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki ExcelChart (2017-07-21 - Version 0.4.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts OutlookEX (2021-11-16 - Version 1.7.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki OutlookEX_GUI (2021-04-13 - Version 1.4.0.0) - Download Outlook Tools (2019-07-22 - Version 0.6.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki PowerPoint (2021-08-31 - Version 1.5.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki Task Scheduler (2022-07-28 - Version 1.6.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki Standard UDFs: Excel - Example Scripts - Wiki Word - Wiki Tutorials: ADO - Wiki WebDriver - Wiki
