I spent an hour or so trying to puzzle through your select statement...

I am not an advocate of one technique VS. another, just what satisfies the requirements...

I spent an hour or so trying to puzzle through your select statement...

In my example I used only  one table with one column because it was sufficient for my purpose.

But in more complicated conditions you can use more columns in table or more tables and combine them.
