GtaSpider
Hey there, got some problems with autoit and Wine (In Linux a virtual Windows). When i start any compiled au3 file i got an error: ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory Well, i know, that on this Wine is no Soundcard installed, the problem is, that i can't administrate this Linux server. But why does AutoIt automaticly want to initalize a soundcard? I nerver used some "Sound..." commands in the script files Hope somebody can help me. James
Looks more like a Wine problem. Blog - Seriously epic web hosting - Twitter - GitHub - Cachet HQ
E1M1
in wine you cant access files like that. try open Z:\dev\snd\seq...... use explorer to find out what drive letter is. edited
GtaSpider
Hey there, Hmm.. Well, as I said I think that is a problem with the sound card. I just tried this: https://forum.startcom.org/viewtopic.php?t=213 But i got a lot of errors, that I do not have any permissions: http://pastebin.com/diMJkeRP so, i think autoit tries to initalize the Soundcard. Can I stop autoit to do that? Greetz Spider www.AutoIt.de - Moderator of the German AutoIt Forum
Richard Robertson
The problem is that AutoIt isn't designed to run under Wine. You will encounter problems.
GtaSpider
Hey there, Well, but it seems like autoit works very well on wine. But it doenst, if no soundcard is installed ;P So is there any possibility to ignore the sound commands?
