c.haslam
Not having heard from anyone who knows more than I do, and having found the Help on Tray functions not particularly meaningful to me, I have done some experimentation, the results of which may be helpful to others. It appears to me that the options you set in TrayMenuMode apply to all tray items, unless you override the Opt setting. For example, it seems that mode 0 sets all items to show checkmarks, and mode 2 sets no items to show checkmarks. What if you want some items to show checkmarks, and others not to show them? I offer this example: #include <Constants.au3> #NoTrayIcon ; leave creating a tray icon to TraySetState ; 1 = Default tray menu items (Script Paused/Exit) will not be shown. ; 2 = Mark menu items with neither a checkmark nor a big dot Opt("TrayMenuMode",3) $tiFile = TrayCreateMenu("File") TrayCreateItem("Open",$tiFile) TrayCreateItem("Save",$tiFile) $tiSettings = TrayCreateMenu("Settings") $tiScreen = TrayCreateItem("Screen",$tiSettings) $tiPrinter = TrayCreateItem("Printer",$tiSettings) $tiExit = TrayCreateItem("Exit") TraySetState() While 1 $msg = TrayGetMsg() Switch $msg Case $tiExit Exit Case $tiScreen TrayItemSetState($tiScreen,$TRAY_CHECKED) TrayItemSetState($tiPrinter,$TRAY_UNCHECKED) Case $tiPrinter TrayItemSetState($tiPrinter,$TRAY_CHECKED) TrayItemSetState($tiScreen,$TRAY_UNCHECKED) EndSwitch WEnd File|Open and File|Save do not show checkmarks, but Settings|Screen and Settings|Printer do. Screen and Printer act as radio buttons, i.e. they are mutually exclusive. Slightly different code would make them checkboxes. Perhaps there is an easier way, but at least this way seems to work, and shows me that tray menus can be mastered. I look forward to advice, and comments.
