peethebee
Hi! I'm from Germany. You come from the US, I guess. So the 9 hours time diffence cause 1am at your location being 10 am at mine ;-). peethebee vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvGerman Forums: http://www.autoit.deGerman Help File: http://autoit.de/hilfe vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
peethebee
Hi! Just starting out I found a couple of things. One is cosmetic and the other is non-fatal and recoverable. One: Ctrl-Alt-S -> Settings->Window->New ProblemType: Cosmetic WindowTitle: WindowTitleMatchMode Issue: Window not large enough to display text. Currently it cuts off part of option 4.This bug has been mentioned by HardCopy in an earlier post. I've been too lazy to fix this so far because it does not affect the German edition which I use of course in daily life. But now it is fixed. Two: Ctrl-Alt-S -> Settings->Window->Delete [...] ProblemType: non-fatal, recoverable, repeatable [...] Issue: By simple clicking the DELETE button under Window->Delete, exit the settings window then open the Setting Window again will give you "Language file error!" all over the window. Fix: You can recover from this by selecting English or Deutsch and click the Save Setting button (it says Language file error at this point). Open up the Settings Windows again and all is fixed. This is caused by a wrong FileOpen call. In earlier versions of AutoIt, paths like "language.txt" were automatically taken as relative to the script's directory. However, in the latest beta this behaviour seems to be different. I solved this problem by using paths like @ScriptDir & "\language.txt". Edit: Could be caused by problem I thought I would have been over for a long time. I did not read out the current language an set it as default value in the combo so that saving worte an empty line into the language.txt -> no more texts recognized. Fixed it. While trying to describe this problem I found something else.. I can launch more than one Settings Windows. This could be a problem if you modify more than one setting. Is there a way to make sure you are only allowed to launch one Settings Window? This was not to hard to fix. It's just one line with WinExists. Is there a way [...] ? In AutoIt, there is always a way. The question is only how hard it is to go... More testing later but this is what I found right now.. Thank you for your report. It is even more important as you seem the only one who is using this program. I cannot really understand why nobody else is using it, but okay, I can just offer the program free of charge, with free support, and the chance to get new features into it if you request it. Some last questions to you, busysignal: What do you use Click4u for? Which action do you use the most? The new bug-fixed version v2.4 is of course again availible via my fileman. peethebee Edited September 21, 2005 by peethebee vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvGerman Forums: http://www.autoit.deGerman Help File: http://autoit.de/hilfe vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
busysignal
peethebee, Yea, those were not hard ones at all. I surprised you got the fixes done so quickly. I use it in with browser, cmd line stuff, and with the Windows Explorer File Manager. Kind of a mix of ways. It make certain task easier.. That is the whole point.. Faster + Easier = Better.. peethebee
Hi! Thanks for your answer. It makes me feel good, that this program helps you. Unfortunately you seem to be the only one using it :-(. I just took 30 minutes where I did not knowwhat to do to fix the bugs. As I know my source (of course) and am a quite experienced AutoIt coder, this was not too hard. I would like to see some of your applications and test it for you! peethebee vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvGerman Forums: http://www.autoit.deGerman Help File: http://autoit.de/hilfe vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

peethebee
Hi! Many scripts can be found in my fileman: - An easy encryption prgram which uses the clipboard to replace the original with the enncrypted or the encrypted with the decrypted text. It supports a simple key management, so that you can write texts to different recipients. - PowerTranslate to translate your script into any language (e.g. German, Dutch, ...) - TextEffects - a UDF to animate text with colors and pure text effects, slide in slide out, a powerful About Box function - Statistics UDF - draw your data with simple functions in a sefl-defined size. - 2Explorer - a tool to provide a fast and easy 2 window view for your windows explorer. - InputBoxLang - a function to display the buttons on the INputBox in the sys language - SciTE Tool - Start and compile your script with latest Beta and Stable version installed. - SteinScherePapier - a little game (German) This is a part of what I have so far (in about 5 months ). At the moment, I play with the thought to write an OCR in C++ and include it as a plugin as my AutoIt OCR function is much too slow. If you code C/C++ let me know, perhaps we could work together or you could support me if I have problems. I'm keen on seeing some of your work too. Do you have a fileman account? peethebee Edited October 1, 2005 by peethebee vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvGerman Forums: http://www.autoit.deGerman Help File: http://autoit.de/hilfe vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
