Yes correct, the only difference with the portable setup is the SCITE_USERHOME location which is indeed the c:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\SciTE for the installer setup and for the portable that will be: P:\AutoIt\SciTe

Those files should work with the new version. Just give it time to do its thing. One thing do you have 7-Zip? You don't need it as I include 7z.exe but if there is a version on the system I use that

That is possible, but you will be missing the Windows Explorer options and the open/run functionality on doubleclicking an AU3 file initially.
I remember that a long time ago, when still actively making scripts in my work, I made a script that would be on the thumbdrive and ran that to setup the environment on the pc which contained the portable setup.

Another question to be sure all is clear even for non english speakers.

  1. The  SCITE_USERHOME is set in Windows ENV only in a process of SciTE4AutoIt installation ?
  2. So if user never install them, and only makes portable version,       then SciTE is using his working dir  instead  SCITE_USERHOME   ?

  1. Correct, but obviously could also be set manually when you want.
  2. It will use the SCITE_HOME, which defaults to the SciTE program directory, in case the SCITE_USERHOME environment variable is not existing.
