Those files should work with the new version. Just give it time to do its thing. One thing do you have 7-Zip? You don't need it as I include 7z.exe but if there is a version on the system I use that

Did you download the compressed version of SciTE4AutoIt3?

Yes, directly from the link you provided on your wordpress page " SciTE4AutoIt3.zip "

It starts the software and completes the scenario but the Scite folder remains empty...

Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit

No problem though, I will read through the post again tomorrow @ work and (con)figure it out.

Yes I briefly glanced over it, seems pretty straight forward.

What really interested me was the drag & drop feature that I would like to implement on this next thing I am working on. I was going to play with it tomorrow in the actual work environment and copy all my udf's and snippets and such... 

I have been using my own concoction of a Pendrive version that works pretty good when I noticed (today) that yours is actually stealth, which is a definite plus.

Here is a beta version of AutoIt Portable that fixes a couple of bugs due to changes made on the site e.g. filename changes. This version is compiled with AutoIt v3.3.9.25 beta. Thanks for testing.

Hi guinness,

  Following these instructions...

  I cant get past the "Creating AutoIt Portable ..."

No changes to the files/folders and no change to the progress bar.

  also the instructions say Right Click context menu that evidently no longer exists, all these options are on the GUI. 

:: Automatic :: (Recommended)
This is by far the easiest way to create AutoIt Portable as if requires no knowledge whatsoever. Simply start the AutoIt Creator application and drop both files (downloaded previously) onto the GUI, this will then proceed to create the structure required for AutoIt Portable. Additional settings can be accessed via the right-click contextmenu, these include changing the language of AutoIt Creator & cleaning up redundant files within AutoIt.
Launch AutoIt3.exe once the creator has finished.

Those files should work with the new version. Just give it time to do its thing.

One thing do you have 7-Zip? You don't need it as I include 7z.exe but if there is a version on the system I use that instead of FileInstalling.

I waited 15 minutes with the suggested files.

Where did you get a zip version of the newest beta version? all I can find is an EXE. (make my own zip?)

Yes have 7zip standard on all machines.

~ I actually was just testing the Creator because it looked like you have a lack of testers, as payback so to speak  :rolleyes:

This is for the stable zip and stable version of SciTE only.

You don't have to test as "payback". Thanks for the offer though but I will continue to work out why it doesn't work for you on my own.

OK, brilliant. The reason it was not working before is Jon changed the name of the AutoIt ZIP file and I didn't pick up on it until a couple of days ago.

This version fixes an issue with renaming of the ZIP file on the AutoIt site. It's also compiled with the brand new version of AutoIt v3.3.10.0. Enjoy!

It should be noted that I haven't updated the language strings from the previous version, please check your language of choice and feel free to send an updated version if not done so already. Download is available in the original post.

- FIXED: Drag and Drop in Windows 7+ with UAC enabled would cease to work.

- FIXED: Zip file had been renamed on the AutoIt site and was not compatiable with previous versions of AutoIt Portable.
