4Eyes Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Folks, As per the topic title, is distributing a 'compiled' script (exe file) that uses AES encryption legal? By distributing, I mean being made available for download on the internet. I've tried to decipher http://www.bis.doc.gov/encryption/question6sub_2.htm but it's too wrapped in legalese for my simple brain to follow. Thanks, 4Eyes

4Eyes Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 BrewManNH, Ah... that settles it, except for the reference back to note 4 which is where I lose the plot. I use AES for IP protection so as it appears it's fine. Thanks, I was having a bit of a meltdown. 4Eyes
