jaehyunb Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 is autoit v2 or v3 ever going to support registry read/write reg_binary ? if not; is this something impossible to do ?
Developers Jos Posted February 25, 2004 Developers Posted February 25, 2004 Think its possible in V3 since release 3.0.91 (29th Jan, 2004)From the V3 helpfile:When reading a REG_BINARY key the result is a string of hex characters, e.g. the REG_BINARY value of 01,a9,ff,77 will be read as the string "01A9FF77". ezzetabi Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 and if you prefere v2 you could use reg.exe from microsoft.A command line registry editor.http://www.robvanderwoude.com/index.html
cmallett Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 is autoit v2 or v3 ever going to support registry read/write reg_binary ?AutoIt v3 does support REG_BINARY and there is a script converter that will do some of the work in converting your scripts to v3 if you'd like to make the transition.I don't think any updates are scheduled for v2 (at least that's the impression I got when I asked). However, AutoHotkey is fully backward compatible with v2 syntax, while having many of v3's new commands (including REG_BINARY support). The only significant v2 feature it lacks is ADLIB. Feel free to check it out at www.autohotkey.com
