i hope it doesn't sound stupid, but, is it possible to add a new button/edit field to a non-au3 gui which triggers au3 functions? (like the apps that add buttons to other apps title bar)

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble

thanx for the so fast and very helpful reply (i tried searching before posting, but got >1000 results!)

by the way, how can i make scripts with '#include <guiconstants.au3>' take the file automatically from include folder?

thanx again!

Um, that's what it does! When you put the filename in < > it looks for it in the include folder. If you put it in " " it uses a path relative to the current script. See the helpfile on #include.
