Developers Jos Posted April 11, 2010 Developers Share Posted April 11, 2010 (edited) What is the difference between compile and buildIn the full version of SciTE4AutoIt3 the Build (F7) will just create the script.exe and Compile (Ctrl+F7) will Show the GUI first.Furthermore why do we have beta compile and build ? We don't. There is a BETA run (Alt+F5) and Compile (Alt+F7).Last question, i once saw a cross reference listing after compiling (use count of variables etc)That is an Option in the Tidy program. See the SciTE4AutoIt3 helpfile for all details.*** Generate Documentation file for the Program With Func and Variable X-ref report*** and optionally Display it with Notepad at the end of the Tidy run.Gen_Doc=0Gen_Doc_Show=0Jos Edited April 11, 2010 by Jos SciTE4AutoIt3 Full installer Download page - Beta files Read before posting How to post scriptsource Forum etiquette Forum Rules Live for the present, Dream of the future, Learn from the past. Moderators Melba23 Posted April 11, 2010 Moderators Share Posted April 11, 2010 wimhek,I presume we are talking about the SciTE <Tools> menu here. Build runs the compiler directly using default settings and any #AutoIt3Wrapper directives in your script.Compile pulls up the AutoIt3Wrapper dialogs so that you can modify any requirements before running the compiler. The Beta options are there so you can run the Beta install if it is on your system. As there is no current Beta, you should not have one installed. But it looks as if SciTE still thinks you have one - go to <Options - Open au3.properties> and look for the line:## Switch used to Enable/Disable all Tools used for AutoIt3 BetaChange the line below to read:#~ BETA_AUTOIT=0and save. You should now no longer have the Beta options in the <Tools> menu. They will reappear when you install the next Beta.M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
