Run an AutoIt Script

I tried ShellExecute(), but that just opens in the default program, in my case, Notepad++. So how can I run a script?

Right-click on the au3 file and choose "open with" then "choose program"

Select AutoIt3.exe

Then put a check-mark in always open with this program.

In the future - anytime you use ShellExecute("somefile.au3") - it will open with AutoIt.

Thats for your pc only.

Or you can use this example without doing the previous one:

Run('C:\AutoIt3\AutoIt3.exe "somefile.au3"')

Need to make sure thats the path to your AutoIt3 folder.

Nothing to do with what I want, I wanted to run a script from an AutoIt program. Really, I need the command line paramters for AutoIt3.exe.

What he's saying is do it manually that way once, then it will work from a script.

AutoIt3.exe [/ErrorStdOut] [/AutoIt3ExecuteScript] file [params ...]

Yep, didn't expect it to be included in the Help File.

Instead of guessing the path, you can just use the macro @AutoItExe...
