load a circle image

Hello I'm tring to build a backgammon GUI,

I load the table image, and then I try to load the pieces images, But the parts images are square..

Any advice?

I think I need to see some code in order to figure out the problem. Is the parts image round? What format is the image in? You are using guictrlcreatepic? Yashied has done some good work on this kind of stuff. I've also been successful with this kind of stuff as well using GDI+.

i think i've had your problem.

when you don't want to see the corners of the square use png-files

and delete with e.g. PaintNet(www.getpaint.net) the color at the corners totally (white and grey sqares)
