bambamfox
hi, sorry for wasting your time, but my research was not succesfull again: my homemade error message can easily be swapped to the background with activating a windows in the back! MsgBox(17, "Fatal Error: 0x81020014", "Call to undefined function: add_ctext()", 0) how can the messagebox be active all the time - my idea: a loop with WinActive/WinActivate-function WinActivate ( "title" [, "text"] ) but my obstacle what "title" for the messagebox? there is certainly an easier way... thx
somdcomputerguy
Try MsgBox(262161, "Fatal Error: 0x81020014", "Call to undefined function: add_ctext()", 0) - Bruce /*somdcomputerguy */ If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. Moderators Melba23 Posted December 20, 2009 Moderators Share Posted December 20, 2009 bambamfox,Add 262144 to the 17 you already have as the "flag" parameter of your MsgBox line. Adding this value keeps the MsgBox on top of all other windows until it is clicked. Read the Help file page for MsgBox for more details on what the various "flag" parameter values can do. The Kandie Man
You should use the handle parameter of Msgbox() to specify the parent window. If you do this, the OS will lock the parent GUI and when the parent GUI is clicked, it will make a bing noise and flash the Msgbox. MsgBox(262161, "Fatal Error: 0x81020014", "Call to undefined function: add_ctext()", 0, $h_GUI) - The Kandie Man ;-) "So man has sown the wind and reaped the world. Perhaps in the next few hours there will no remembrance of the past and no hope for the future that might have been." & _"All the works of man will be consumed in the great fire after which he was created." & _"And if there is a future for man, insensitive as he is, proud and defiant in his pursuit of power, let him resolve to live it lovingly, for he knows well how to do so." & _"Then he may say once more, 'Truly the light is sweet, and what a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to see the sun.'" - The Day the Earth Caught Fire
