If it's HID you can try the scripts posted in this page. Download the RawInput.au3, run the first script in the first page, and if you don't mind, please post the output of SciTE's.

All key presses work with AutoIt. The only thing the MCE remote does is send combo characters for commands like play,stop etc.. is Alt+Ctrl+P ... Find what combo of letters its send ing and make a hotkey set for it. RTM it has the set. If you have Sagetv its easier because it lists all the combos.
