    Having undergone a rebuild of my PC, this was a post that I searched for to "fix" my SciTE preperences, so thanks again guys for the input. I used SciTE this time to save the file to my doc & Settings directory as per JdeB's post, which I now understand ! Cheers KPJUK

    Thanks JdeB, I did open that when searching through the properties files, but it was blank. I kind of expected there to be a template of options that I could change. Now I have created this file as per herewasplato instructions, it appears in User Options, but this is great feedback. I wonder how many others this will help! Thanks bud, KPJUK

    Hi Guys, I am trying to configure the editor when its first loaded to be a specific screen size (not full window). I have had a look through the Global User properties, and can't see where this would be. Can somwone please point me in the right direction. Cheers KPJUK

    I got it working. I copied the contents from MHz post and copied it over my user settings, and it burst into life. Odd though. . . That gave me a message that said AutoIT was not installed, so I ended that and downloaded the latest AutoIT file 3.1.1, installed that and then installed SciTe, and it did not colour the script for me, or work when pressing F1 on a keyword. I have uninstalled them both, and will install them again in the correct order. I then installed SciTe from the file SciTe4AutoIt3.exe, and ended up with 4 SciTe icons on my desktop, only one of them with a valid Icon ?The colours aren't working, so I will try the options above.     Interesting. . . . ., I have just installed AutoIT 3.1.1, and this went well. I then installed SciTe from the file SciTe4AutoIt3.exe, and ended up with 4 SciTe icons on my desktop, only one of them with a valid Icon ? The colours aren't working, so I will try the options above.

    Thanks for the responses guys, I will try these and see how I get on. I have a new PC, and just downloaded the latest files from http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/index.php I the ran the SciTe install first, as I thought that it included AutoIT. That gave me a message that said AutoIT was not installed, so I ended that and downloaded the latest AutoIT file 3.1.1, installed that and then installed SciTe, and it did not colour the script for me, or work when pressing F1 on a keyword. I have uninstalled them both, and will install them again in the correct order. I will need to download them again, as I was a bit quick off the mark in deleting the install files, and clearing the Recycle bin ! I will let you know how I get on. cheers KPJUK

    This may be a quick thing to fix, but I can't find it. I have just installed the latest AutoIt and SciTe on my new PC, and now the au3 script colours are not working ! everything is in black. Can anyone please point me to where the colour files are ? I know I can change the colours using ctrl-1 but I don't want to have to try and re-create the colour file. cheers KPJUK
