  1. [NEW VERSION] - 19 May 14 Added: - 1. A new function _GUIFrame_ResizeState to indicate when frames have been resized and the resizing is complete. The idea is to help users who fill frames with elements which require heavy processing (e.g. GDI images) and where continually rewriting the content would cause severe slowdowns. The function is called in the script idle loop and returns an array of flags indicating that a resizing action is complete. - 2. A new parameter ($fShowWindow) in the _GUIFrame_Create function. A few people have found that the frames do not always appear on creation - particularly if the GUI does not have focus during this process. KaFu came up with a workaround, not approved by the AutoIt devs, using the API to confirm the frame display. Setting this new parameter to True uses the API call - use it at your own risk and peril! Fixed: A couple of minor bugs which no-one had noticed - and now never will. New code below and in the attached zip. Previous changes: Changelog.txt Before we start, my sincere thanks to Kip who wrote the first version of this UDF and who very kindly allowed me to build on it to produce this new version. Many GUIs are divided into frames, where you can drag a separator bar to alter the relative sizes of the elements displayed within the GUI. Think of an Explorer window where the folder list is on one side and the files in the selected folder on the other - or SciTE with its editing and Director areas. The GUIFrame UDF allows you to divide your own GUIs into 2 frames with a separator bar. - The frames can be full-frame or set to a user-defined position and size within the GUI. - The minimum size of each frame can be specified. - The separator bar can be horizontal or vertical and its size and initial position set. - The frames can resize as the main GUI resizes or can remain at their original position and size. - You can even divide existing frames into further frames until you run out of space. - x86 and x64 compatible. [New] The frames themselves are normal AutoIt GUIs. You can colour them and create controls within them just as you would in any other script - functions are provided for easy navigation between them (think of GUISwitch). Here is an example script to show the UDF working: #include <guiconstantsex.au3> #include <windowsconstants.au3> #include "GUIFrame.au3" Global $iSep_Pos $hGUI = GUICreate("GUI_Frame Example 1", 500, 500, -1, -1, BitOR($WS_MINIMIZEBOX, $WS_MAXIMIZEBOX, $WS_SIZEBOX)) GUISetState() ; Create a 1st level frame $iFrame_A = _GUIFrame_Create($hGUI) _GUIFrame_SetMin($iFrame_A, 50, 100) _GUIFrame_Switch($iFrame_A, 2) $aWinSize = WinGetClientSize(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_A, 2)) GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 5, 5, $aWinSize[0] - 10, $aWinSize[1] - 10) GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0xFF0000) GUICtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_DISABLE) $hButton_1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Pos Sep", 10, 10, 50, 30) ; Create a 2nd level frame $iFrame_B = _GUIFrame_Create(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_A, 1), 1) GUISetBkColor(0x00FF00, _GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_B, 1)) _GUIFrame_SetMin($iFrame_B, 100, 100) _GUIFrame_Switch($iFrame_B, 1) $hButton_2 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Pos Sep", 10, 10, 50, 30) ; Create a 3rd level frame $iFrame_C = _GUIFrame_Create(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_B, 2)) _GUIFrame_Switch($iFrame_C, 2) $aWinSize = WinGetClientSize(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_C, 2)) GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 5, 5, $aWinSize[0] - 10, $aWinSize[1] - 10) GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0xD0D000) ; Create a 4th level frame $iFrame_D = _GUIFrame_Create(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_C, 1), 1) _GUIFrame_Switch($iFrame_D, 1) $aWinSize = WinGetClientSize(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_D, 1)) GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 5, 5, $aWinSize[0] - 10, $aWinSize[1] - 10) GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0x00FFFF) _GUIFrame_Switch($iFrame_D, 2) $aWinSize = WinGetClientSize(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_D, 2)) GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 5, 5, $aWinSize[0] - 10, $aWinSize[1] - 10) GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0xFF00FF) ; Set resizing flag for all created frames _GUIFrame_ResizeSet(0) ; Create a non-resizable 2nd level frame $iFrame_E = _GUIFrame_Create(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_B, 1), 0, 0, 5, 5, 55, 200, 100) _GUIFrame_Switch($iFrame_E, 1) $aWinSize = WinGetClientSize(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_E, 1)) GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 5, 5, $aWinSize[0] - 10, $aWinSize[1] - 10) GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0xFF8000) _GUIFrame_Switch($iFrame_E, 2) $aWinSize = WinGetClientSize(_GUIFrame_GetHandle($iFrame_E, 2)) GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 5, 5, $aWinSize[0] - 10, $aWinSize[1] - 10) GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0xD0C0D0) ; Register the $WM_SIZE handler to permit resizing _GUIFrame_ResizeReg() While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE ; The UDF does all the tidying up as you exit Exit Case $hButton_1 _GUIFrame_SetSepPos($iFrame_A, 300) $iSep_Pos = _GUIFrame_GetSepPos($iFrame_A) GUICtrlSetData($hButton_1, $iSep_Pos) Sleep(1000) GUICtrlSetData($hButton_1, "Sep Pos") Case $hButton_2 $iRet = _GUIFrame_SetSepPos($iFrame_B, 310) $iSep_Pos = _GUIFrame_GetSepPos($iFrame_ GUICtrlSetData($hButton_2, $iSep_Pos) Sleep(1000) GUICtrlSetData($hButton_2, "Sep Pos") EndSwitch WEnd The UDF uses the WM_SIZE message sent by the original GUIs to determine when to resize frames. SciTE 3.5.5.101 for AutoIt

    This is my modification of the editor based on SciTE 3.2.5.99. Too many changes are made. Added new plugins (.lua) and rewrited existing, added Toolbar and Sidebar, expanded main and context menu, and more... I will not list all the changes, just download and try it. I also want to say a big thank the staff of Ru-Board for the excellent work on the modification of the editor and writing great plugins (.lua). Compiler Wrapper (CW) - a new tool that is part of SciTE 3.2.5.99 and designed to replace the AutoItWrapper. CW only works with "pragma" directives and does not use "AutoIt3Wrapper" directives. CW differs from AutoItWrapper both externally and internally but has a similar logic. Here are some possibilities utility - more friendly GUI, all options of "pragma" directives are located in one window, the ability to add digital signature, and a simple way to add resources (.rcs and .res files). The current version of CW is compatible with AutoIt 3.3.10.x, 3.3.12.x, and 3.3.14.x. How to install? Unpack CW to Compiler Wrapper folder and copy it to your SciTE or SciTE\Tools directory. Note that if you download SciTE 3.2.5.99 then you need not do anything because CW is already installed in the package. Or another way is create a logging API that opens the file once and closes at the end e.g. #include <File.au3> Global $g_hLogFile = -1 ; Close on AutoIt shutdown OnAutoItExitRegister(Log_Shutdown) Example() Func Example() ; Start logging Log_Startup() ; Write to the log file For $i = 0 To 1000 Log_Write($i) Next ; Stop logging. NOTE: Done automatically due to registering the function at the start for when AutoIt exists ; Log_Shutdown() EndFunc ;==>Example ; Tidy up our resources. Returns True or False Func Log_Shutdown() If $g_hLogFile <> -1 Then Return FileClose($g_hLogFile) > 0 EndIf Return False EndFunc ;==>Log_Shutdown ; Start the logging API. Returns True or False Func Log_Startup() $g_hLogFile = FileOpen(@ScriptDir & "\Log\Error.log", BitOR($FO_APPEND, $FO_CREATEPATH)) Return $g_hLogFile <> -1 EndFunc ;==>Log_Startup ; Write a log message. Returns True or False Func Log_Write($sLogEntry) If $g_hLogFile == -1 Then Return False Local $iReturn = _FileWriteLog($g_hLogFile, $sLogEntry) Return SetError(@error, @extended, $iReturn > 0) EndFunc ;==>Log_Write

  4. KutayAltinoklu, is not really describing the problem, just that there is a problem. When I ran this I get "Unable to open file = c:\..." That can be easily fixed using the following code... #include <File.au3> Local $ErrorFile = FileOpen(@ScriptDir & "\Log\Error.log", $FO_APPEND + $FO_CREATEPATH) Func logTest() _FileWriteLog($ErrorFile, "Test") EndFunc Call ("logTest") shellexecute(@ScriptDir & "\Log\Error.log")Note the addition of a parm to the FileOpen function. While that works, it is not terribly useful to hardcode a value to write in a function. Lets change it slightly... 1 - add a parm that contains the string to write to the log function 2 - open/close the error file with each call to the function 3 - invoke function directly, not with Call stmt #include <File.au3> Func logTest($sLogEntry) Local $ErrorFile = FileOpen(@ScriptDir & "\Log\Error.log", $FO_APPEND + $FO_CREATEPATH) _FileWriteLog($ErrorFile, $sLogEntry) fileclose($ErrorFile) EndFunc logtest('My latest entry') logtest('and another...') shellexecute(@ScriptDir & "\Log\Error.log")If any of this does not make sense read about functions in general and the function that you are using in the Help file. kylomas edit: @‌Guinness - While I was trying to get the screen print to work I see you beat me to it...

  5. Don't use call like that, instead use logTest()Don't forget to tidy up your resources using FileClose()Learn how to error check. Did you place a console write underneath _FileWriteLog() with @error?Anyway it's pretty simply with a bit of thought process. Use $FO_APPEND + $FO_CREATEPATH in FileOpen(), as your path probably doesn't exist. How do I know? Well FileOpen was returning -1.

  6. You had many issues in your script I fixed and modified and mainly as you are mixing strings and binary you have to deal properly with those you cannot use filewriteline when dealing with binaryif you want to read by line you have to stringify your binarydataI added some example in the beginning on whats happening with binary and string convert functionsuse filehandle instead of opening everytime data.txtadvice: first build it uncrypted (i left the commented lines in there) #include <ButtonConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <StaticConstants.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> #include <AutoItConstants.au3> #include <Array.au3> #include <FileConstants.au3> #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> #include <WinAPIFiles.au3> #include <File.au3> #Include <Timers.au3> #include <Crypt.au3> #include <GuiEdit.au3> $Form1 = GUICreate("Pie", 170, 235, 190, 200) local $usernames[0] local $passwords[0] $myText="Hello World" consolewrite($myText & " string() := " & string($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " binaryTostring() := " & binaryTostring($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " stringtobinary() := " & stringtoBinary($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " binary() := " & binary($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " binarytostring(binary()) := " & binarytostring(binary($myText)) & @CRLF) $myText="0x48656C6C6F20576F726C64" consolewrite($myText & " string() := " & string($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " binaryTostring() := " & binaryTostring($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " stringtobinary() := " & stringtoBinary($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " binary() := " & binary($myText) & @CRLF) consolewrite($myText & " binarytostring(binary()) := " & binarytostring(binary($myText)) & @CRLF) global $selectuser = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 21, 95, 130, 20) $addusername = GUICtrlCreateButton("Add", 21, 170, 130, 30) $usernamefield = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 21, 120, 130, 20) $passwordfield = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 21, 145, 130, 20, 0x0020) func encrypt() Local $hFileOpen = FileOpen("data.txt", $FO_APPEND) ;~ Local $hFileOpen = FileOpen("data.txt", $FO_OVERWRITE + $FO_BINARY) if guictrlread($usernamefield) <> "" then ;~ local $encryptedusername = string(guictrlread($usernamefield)) ;~ local $encryptedpassword = string(guictrlread($passwordfield)) local $encryptedusername = string(_Crypt_EncryptData(guictrlread($usernamefield), "P14h735536jk3fvvbg", $CALG_AES_128)) local $encryptedpassword = string(_Crypt_EncryptData(guictrlread($passwordfield ), "P14h735536jk3fvvbg", $CALG_AES_128)) FileWrite($hFileOpen, $encryptedusername & @CRLF) FileWrite($hFileOpen, $encryptedpassword & @CRLF) EndIf FileClose($hFileOpen) EndFunc func decrypt() Local $hFileOpen = FileOpen("data.txt", $FO_READ) consolewrite(_FileCountLines("data.txt") & " lines in the file" & @CRLF) for $i = 1 to _FileCountLines("data.txt")/2 local $encryptedusername = FileReadLine($hFileOpen) local $encryptedpassword = FileReadLine($hFileOpen) consolewrite($encryptedusername & @CRLF) consolewrite($encryptedpassword & @CRLF) ;~ _ArrayAdd($usernames, FileReadLine($hFileOpen)) ;~ _ArrayAdd($passwords, FileReadLine($hFileOpen)) _ArrayAdd($usernames, binarytostring(_Crypt_DecryptData(binary($encryptedusername), "P14h735536jk3fvvbg", $CALG_AES_128))) _ArrayAdd($passwords, binarytostring(_Crypt_DecryptData(binary($encryptedpassword), "P14h735536jk3fvvbg", $CALG_AES_128))) Next FileClose($hFileOpen) consolewrite(ubound($usernames) & " entries in array") _arraydisplay($usernames) if ubound($userNames)> 0 then for $i = 0 to ubound($usernames)-1 GUICtrlSetData($selectuser, $usernames[$i] & @CRLF) next EndIf endfunc func updatecomboandinfo() if not GUICtrlRead($usernamefield) = "" Then _ArrayAdd($usernames, GUICtrlRead($usernamefield)) _ArrayAdd($passwords, GUICtrlRead($passwordfield)) GUICtrlSetData($selectuser, $usernames[UBound($usernames)-1]) EndIf EndFunc decrypt() GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) While True $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit Case $addusername updatecomboandinfo() encrypt() GUICtrlSetData($usernamefield, "") GUICtrlSetData($passwordfield, "") EndSwitch WEnd

  7. You can look at the link in my signature for the GUIRegisterMsg demo script I wrote, play around with it by adding an edit control to the GUI and see what results you get.

  8. Look in the help file under _GUICtrlEdit_Create, the example script demonstrates how to do that.

  10. I read your post a couple of times. I think you are saying that it does not work without a window for a program to detect the changes. If so, that is in line with the explanation in the help file: "Retrieves the active input locale identifier for the specified window". I think you can do it from the command line as discussed here: http://superuser.com/questions/841236/how-to-know-which-keyboard-layout-is-currently-active-using-cmd-in-windows-7-32b

  11. Melba23, I find it easier to work with GUI in AutoIt so I want to leave AHK behind (in the future) for that reason. ,O

  13. i suspect that (a) you need to RequireAdmin in the EXE and (b) you need to ensure that the batch process is allowed to run with same inherited permissions or elevated permissions. Also, see the difference between ControlSend and Send for some background info Note that Windows can suppress processes where the user is not currently logged on. AV software can also suppress such processes. I would really like to hear of your solution, as I struggle with something similar. EDIT: See post #20 by AdamUL

  14. He wants the version of AutoIt to be part of the filename of the installer (like the installers from the archive) instead of the generic autoit-v3-setup.exe. I can agree with that, but it seems he was more troubled because he couldn't find the old versions (even though the link is there if you look for it)

  15. I just got it to work! I was having much trouble, reading all the threads and posts related to ImageSearch, and I'd like to help others now. Now got it to work as a x64 and also as a x32 script using both DLLs accordingly (on a Windows 8.1 x64 PC) One of the steps I took in debugging was putting this into (the top of) my script: $sOSArch = @OSArch ;Check if running on x64 or x32 Windows ;@OSArch Returns one of the following: "X86", "IA64", "X64" - this is the architecture type of the currently running operating system. ConsoleWrite("$sOSArch=" & $sOSArch & @CR) $sAutoItX64 = @AutoItX64 ;Check if using x64 AutoIt ;@AutoItX64 Returns 1 if the script is running under the native x64 version of AutoIt. ConsoleWrite("$sAutoItX64=" & $sAutoItX64 & @CR)In any case you want to be consistent about 32bit or 64bit usage, and use the right DLL etc. What also really helped was putting in lots of debugging and error handling to zoom in on whatever specific part isn't working and why. Credits to Centrally (very helpful usage explanation and re-uploading the files) and kangkeng for making this possible in AutoIt, as well Miguel7 from the AutoHotKey forum who also posted some helpful advice. I've attached a zipped folder containing all of the needed Dlls and my customised Library, which also contains an example and some debugging: ImageSearch2015.zip Take a look inside ImageSearch2015.au3 here if you like: Edit: also uploaded "ImageSearch15.au3", a version of "my" ImageSearch Library without the built-in Example and Debugging (will require the Dlls in the .zip file though): ImageSearch15.au3 I hope this helps somebody! Let me know any feedback/issues.
