  1. Here is a simple capture tool, using the great Mark_Rect and _GUICreateInvRect functions by Melba23 (not sure if it's him, though). It will capture a desired region and put the image in the clipboard, nothing else. However, if you want it to save the capture, see post >#7. The purpose of this script is to paste your captures into Word (or any other advanced text editor) to make procedures. I have added some extra features like tooltips to show current mouse pos and rect size. I can add some others like drawing the capture time, on demand. How to use it ? Press "PrintScreen" or "Ctrl + Shift + 3" and voila. NB : It preserves the screen layout, meaning if you have for example opened a contextmenu this last will be still visible on your captured image; which is the main reason of why I made this script. 3. I thought TimerInit is just a timestamp of some kind and not something which leave a handle or other resource hanging around.

  4. To specifically destroy one or more timers, you can also use _Timer_KillTimer or _Timer_KillAllTimers. I don't know of any real limit to the number of timers you can initialize.

  5. adom, Yes, if the variable is local to the function. Declare the variable in global scope before the function if you want the timer to persist. If you are asking how to reset / stop the timer, use assignment. E.G. $timer1 = timerinit() ; to re-start the timer $timer1 = 0 ; to destroy the timer See the Help file and Wiki for variable scoping rules. kylomas edit: spelling

  7. 15 is sum of PURGE_TXABORT, PURGE_RXABORT, PURGE_TXCLEAR and PURGE_RXCLEAR. More details you can find here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa363428(v=vs.85).aspx 5000 means a max timeout of 5 seconds. I think you are using an old version. One month ago I changed timeout handling. You have to use build in String functions like StringRegExp or StringInStr.

    Where do I report bugs?

As expected there is no bug there, except in the code posted in ticket #2662, both wrong, untrue and violating trac posting rules.

onlinethlive, I would strongly suggest posting in the forum first to check whether it is worth raising a Trac ticket - it might well be something in your code rather than a bug. M23
