  1. @UEZ, After some searches, I have not found what you were looking for; I would say almost : If you click on the button "End task" after selecting the window in the TaskManager then it will send a $WM_CLOSE message to the GUI; if you block this message by returning False, then the TaskManager will think that the application is not responding so it will suggest you to kill the application, which is not very good. So I have found an alternative, when the GUI receive the $WM_CLOSE message, the script execute another instance and close the first one, so there is always one instance running. Instead of that you could make your last actions and exit normally. #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1) #region GUI GUICreate("toto") GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "_Exit") GUIRegisterMsg($WM_CLOSE, "WM_CLOSE") GUISetState() #endregion GUI While 1 Sleep(100) WEnd Func WM_CLOSE($hWnd, $iMsg, $wParam, $lParam) Switch $iMsg Case $WM_CLOSE ShellExecute(@ScriptFullPath) EndSwitch _Exit() EndFunc ;==>WM_CLOSE Func _Exit() Exit 0 EndFunc ;==>_Exit Br, FireFox.

  2. BugFix version - 27 Dec 23 Fixed: No default value set for the MaxWidth parameter - took 12 years for someone to notice it! New UDF and new examples below and in zip. I just realised that although I have posted versions of this UDF many times in Help topics, I had never actually posted a "final" version here in Example scripts - better late than never, I suppose! StringSize takes a text string and calculates the size of label required to hold it as well as formatting the string to fit. Now AutoIt will, of course, size a label automatically to fit a text string, but it will not format the string in any way - what you use as the string is what you get in the label. If you do set any label sizes the text will be wrapped, but you can only determine the correct size of the label by trial and error. StringSize will, however, reformat the string to fit in a given width and tell you the required height so that you can read it all - whatever the font type or size - and you do not have to do the formatting beforehand. Here is a simple example to show what I mean (you need the UDF in the same folder for all the examples): And here is an example showing how StringSize can deal with different fonts and text sizes: You can see that the GUI is perfectly sized each time and that the button is always the right size and in the right place. StringSize returns an array which contains the formatted text to display and the size of the label needed to display it. All you need to do is to use the array elements when you create your label. Try changing the values in $aFont and $aSize if you want to try you own favourites - but beware, StringSize will return an error if you make the size so large that it cannot fit a word into the label width. NEW A more complex example showing how formatted and unformatted text can be sized correctly. The width of GUI holding the unformatted text varies randomly in width (the current value is displayed at top right): NEW And a final example showing how you can get your text in the largest possible font to fit in a given space: Finally here is the UDF itself: And all 5 files in zip format: StringSize.zip I hope you find this useful - I certainly do. 3. UDF Deprecated - 23 Dec 2013 As since the release of v3.3.10.0 the basis of this UDF is now included in the standard AutoIt UDFs as _FileListToArrayRec in File.au3, support will end in this thread and any future bug reports or feature requests should be made via Trac. Note that there are a couple of major changes in the new function compared to this UDF: - You must place the Include|Exclude|Exclude_Folder masks in the single $sMask parameter, delimited by "|". The old syntax with the "exclude" masks at the end of the parameter list will no longer work, unlike this UDF. - The values returned in @extended in the event of an error have been reordered to reflect the above - so you might need to amend your errorchecking. But note that "no files found" still returns 9 in @extended - I am not that cruel! - The sort algorithm has been changed from QuickSort to DualPivot, which is significantly faster for large arrays. I hope you appreciate the faster return times. This zip remians available for those who do not wish to update immediately: RFLTA.zip M23

  6. What about using environment variables instead? For example using EnvSet/Get to create your own (temporary variables.) #include <WinAPI.au3> EnvSet('INSTALLATIONPATH', 'Install Path') EnvSet('EXAMPLE', 'Example Folder') Run(_WinAPI_ExpandEnvironmentStrings('%PROGRAMFILES%%INSTALLATIONPATH%%EXAMPLE%'))

    ProcessCall.au3 UDF

Hello. I have been working on this UDF which implements the following features: Call any function in any process, including your own - see DllCallEx.Runtime linking features using GetRemoteModuleHandle and GetRemoteProcAddress. The UDF has reached a state where i would like others input, maybe some on design and such.Supports: stdcall and fastcallreference passingaddress-of passingstatic arrays when used with byte*, char* and wchar*Current functions: ProcCallProcCallbackRegisterProcCallbackProcCallbackFreeGetRemoteModuleHandleGetRemoteModuleListOpenProcessGetRemoteProcAddressDllCallExIdeaThe goal of the UDF was mainly proof-of-concept, extended debugging abilities, learning by doing and enhanced inter process communication. How does it work? It evaluates the arguments and assembles a small thread, which pushes the arguments and returns. Really it just automates the process. Syntax All the function use DllCall() style. Read documentation. Examples A set of basic examples is included. Notes This is in an early alpha state, which means that if you want to use this you should have a good idea about how calling conventions work, understand the relation between types and values, and a basic understanding of pointers. If you don't, you'll most likely end up crashing either your or the target process. Only x86 is supported. Be aware that no in-depth type checking is done, so it's assumed you know what you are doing To be implemented ProcCall returning an array of parameters and return values like DllCall()x64 SupportBetter documentationBulletproof return code.cdecl support.Changelog 07-08 '11 Fixed a bug with global deallocations associated with callbacks.Callbacks, if return type is void, will not wait for the thread to return (parallel to Run() and RunWait()).Added GetRemoteModuleList().Rewrote GetRemoteModuleHandle.Added an extra param in OpenProcess() and made it public.Added more errors and better descriptions.. imo.Optimized DllCallEx().22-06 '11 Fixed a bug when using fastcall convention that would crash the script.Lmk what you guys think about this e: aaaand attaching the file lol. 9. Syed23, Not returning hidden files and folders was easy to implement (just add 4 to the $iReturn value), but did have the expected effect on the time it takes to run through a folder tree. A tree of some 8000 folders/files takes about 1200ms to return on my machine when I ask the UDF to return everything. When I ask it to to omit the hidden ones, it takes about 2600ms for the same tree - more than double. But I have written the code such that there is a minimal penalty if all files are to be returned - that only adds about 100ms to the current speed. Here is the new Beta version, please try it and let me know what you think: #include-once ;#AutoIt3Wrapper_au3check_parameters=-d -w 1 -w 2 -w 3 -w 4 -w 5 -w 6 ; #INDEX# ======================================================================================================================= ; Title .........: _RecFileListToArray ; AutoIt Version : v3.3.1.1 or higher ; Language ......: English ; Description ...: Lists files andor folders in specified path with optional recursion to defined level and result sorting ; Note ..........: ; Author(s) .....: Melba23 ; Remarks .......: - Modified Array.au3 functions - credit: Jos van der Zande, LazyCoder, Tylo, Ultima, SolidSnake and gcriaco ; - SRE patterns - credit: various forum members and Spiff59 in particular ; - Despite the name, this UDF is iterative, not recursive ; =============================================================================================================================== ; #CURRENT# ===================================================================================================================== ; _RecFileListToArray: Lists files andor folders in a specified path with optional recursion to defined level and result sorting ; =============================================================================================================================== ; #INTERNAL_USE_ONLY#============================================================================================================ ; _RFLTA_ListToMask ......; Convert include/exclude lists to SRE format ; _RFLTA_AddToList .......; Add element to list which is resized if necessary ; _RFLTA_AddFileLists ....; Add internal lists after resizing and optional sorting ; _RFLTA_FileListSearch ..; Search file match list for files associated with a folder ; _RFLTA_ArraySort .......; Wrapper for QuickSort function ; _RFLTA_QuickSort .......: Recursive array sort ; _RFLTA_ArrayConcatenate : Join 2 arrays ; =============================================================================================================================== ; #FUNCTION# ==================================================================================================================== ; Name...........: _RecFileListToArray ; Description ...: Lists files andor folders in a specified path with optional recursion to defined level and result sorting ; Syntax.........: _RecFileListToArray($sPath[, $sInclude_List = "*"[, $iReturn = 0[, $iRecur = 0[, $iSort = 0[, $iReturnPath = 1[, $sExclude_List = ""[, $sExclude_List_Folder]]]]]]]) ; Parameters ....: $sPath - Initial path used to generate filelist.
