#forceref

Hi,

Just wanna know, what does #forceref do? I saw this in Timers.au3 UDF.

Searched the help file but can't find it.

I think it force you to define a function or the script will error out.

Try commenting the function in this code for example:

#forceref hello

Func hello()
    msgbox(0,"Hello","Hello World!")
EndFunc

I think it's directive for Au3Check.exe instead of old #uses one.

It is used by au3check to tell it not to report on "variable not used" when using the parameter "-w 5" (i think)

Akton,

Take a look at this thread for more info. As the directive is part of Au3Check, not AutoIt, there is no reason why it should be explained in the Autoit Help file.

And as for unfairly criticising the volunteer programmers who provide us with this excellent free software....... >_<
